Course Summary

Cellmark’s Anthropology, Archaeology and Environmental Sciences (AAE) team includes some of the most experienced forensic anthropologists and archaeologists in the UK. The team works with UK and international law enforcement agencies, coroners and the military to provide expert assistance in investigations ranging from searches for people who are missing, presumed murdered, through to DVI incidents.

The awareness session will introduce you to the extensive services that we can provide to support your investigations and provide an insight into the processes required to plan and conduct searches for concealed or buried remains (clandestine graves) and other buried / concealed items. There will be a brief introduction to the methods used and the considerations required when recovering burnt, fragmented, decomposed and skeletalised remains as well as the importance of environmental evidence. There will be an opportunity for a Q&A session at the end of the presentation.

Please note that this is a repeat of the series of presentations that took place in 2023.
