We are pleased to announce that on Tuesday 20th August 2024, Orchid Cellmark Limited (trading as Cellmark Forensic Services) became part of the Eurofins Scientific Group.
In recent years Eurofins has made a number of significant investments in infrastructure and people in the forensic science sector and the acquisition of Cellmark represents a continued commitment to the forensic marketplace and the Criminal Justice System in England & Wales.
The acquisition also marks another chapter in the journey of Cellmark Forensic Services which has benefitted from having several different owners since it was established in 1987. Whilst this represents a change in ownership, Cellmark will continue to operate as a separate business with no changes to its licences, certifications and accreditations.
Both Cellmark Forensic Services (CFS) and Eurofins Forensic Services (EFS) will now work together as sister companies under Eurofins Scientific Group ownership to better serve our respective customers and to service our existing contracts. We look forward to continuing to work with our customers, subcontractors and suppliers to deliver high quality forensic science and excellent customer support.
